Job Description:
JOB SUMMARYProvides administrative support to the General Manager & the Resort Manager and assists in maintaining the efficient daily operation and duties of the office.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Regularly performs a broad range of administrative duties often of a highly confidential nature requiring initiative, anticipation, discretion, timely and effective follow-up and judgment to make independent decisions.
Manages telephone calls and visitors, ascertaining who can be assisted by others with the department effectively; takes messages and/or fields/answers routine and non-routine questions; provides information to callers which requires comprehensive knowledge of company policies, practices, protocols and operations.
Maintains calendars, schedules meetings, appointments, and follow-ups as needed; Arranges travel for business trips, including flight, accommodations, conference registrations, ground transportation; meal reservations, business meetings, etc Creates, edits and finalizes memos and correspondence; prepares a variety of highly confidential, specialized and recurrent reports, to include minutes from meetings.
Creates correspondence and reports from rough drafts; proofreads copy for spelling grammar, layout; makes appropriates changes.
Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
Responds to guest surveys, letters and emails.
Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
Acts as project manager for special projects, at the request of the General Manager & the Resort Manager, which may include:
planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings, creating brochures.
Participates on committees as needed.
Maintains and updates an effective filing and retrieval system; files documents in project files and chronological files (hard copy and/or electronic) promptly, consistently and accurately; maintains an up-to-date database for business associates by updating Outlook and/or other databases.
Manages purchasing of office and operating supplies which includes on-line orders (not limited to executive office material).
Receives, distributes and sends mail.
Compiles and reconciles corporate card purchases.
Maintains organization and cleanliness of executive office.
Performs other additional duties directed by the General Manager & the Resort Manager and initiates other responsibilities as necessary.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
