POSITION
Summary: Assists in the histology and cytology processes by performing specialized tasks preparing tissue and smears for the Pathologist
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of 60 semester hours at an accredited college or university, or experience and/or training as a Histology Technician.
MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE: Previous training and/or at leaset one year of work experience as Histology Technician. Basic computer knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Windows application.
REQUIRED CERTIFICAION/REGISTRATION: Certification as istology Technician by ASCP is preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
